AHA Complex: Natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids of Apple extract and Sugar extract exfoliate skin cells are combined by breaking down the intercellular glue-like substance that helps bind skin cells together with Green Tea which acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory for the skin.
Antioxidants: Vitamins, amino acids and other natural substances that fight free radicals to prevent oxidation. In biological systems, the normal processes of oxidation produce free radicals, which are aggressive, unstable, oxygen-containing molecules that have lost an electron and need to steal one from another molecule to regain stability. This creates a chain reaction damaging each cell involved. Free radicals damage cell membranes and normal cellular metabolism. This cell damage leads to premature aging, increased skin sensitivity, irritation, age spots and dryness. Applied topically, antioxidants neutralize free radicals before they are able to attach themselves to the cell membrane and damage the cell.
DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) – DMAE has the ability to stimulate neurotransmitters that are required for proper mental function. When topically applied to the skin, DMAE stimulates acetylcholine release, triggering a response within the muscles of the face that creates firmer facial tone and tightening of sagging skin. It is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, showing a noticeable improvement in the skin within 20 minutes of application. DMAE has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
